Tuesday Tidbits, July 13, 2010

Thanks to all who came today to hear Ginger McGuire speak about I-9 compliance and hiring issues.  We had a great breakfast thanks to Food for Thought catering.  We heard about Abrakadoodle from Lisa Kish-Pittman – Great art education programs for kids of all ages!  We also heard about community events coming up including Carnation Festival and the City of Wheat Ridge Business Appreciation Luncheon on Aug. 6.

Go with a Winner ~ Be at the August 10 Enterprise Wheat Ridge meeting featuring Ken Ludwig,

“ReWire Your Brain for Success.”

Ken gives you tools and simple exercises to create an affirmative intentionality and a daily practice that will bring you into alignment with the success that you desire.  You will experience more balance, more stability and more success in every aspect of your business and personal life.

Another great reason to attend in August?  We want to help promote your business to others…Come see the fruits of our work on the Passport to Wheat Ridge Shopping!  We do have a Community Events segment during our program. If you have an Open House, Special Service/Discount or New Product you want others to know about, let me know and I’ll be certain we get the word out.

Drive Traffic to your Business with an Open House

We encourage Enterprise Wheat Ridge members to schedule open houses at their businesses.  Good way to get folks in the door to see what and where you do your business.  If you don’t want to do it alone, find a business that could co-host with you.  We have lots of service businesses who don’t have a physical location but would also like to showcase their service and products so think outside the box.  Let us know and we can put your event in the Tuesday Tidbits.  Check the Enterprise Wheat Ridge calendar to make sure something else isn’t going on around town that might conflict date-wise if you want other E WR members to attend!

Leverage your marketing budget

Need some new places to market your business?  Make an appointment with Denise Stephens of the Jeffco Business Resource Center.  She can help with targeted marketing, give you ideas about how your business ranks on Google and Yahoo, etc.  Best of all it’s free.  Contact her today to make an appointment.  www.jeffcobrc.org

August 10 is primary election day and also elections at E WR meeting for our board so please try to attend.  We have a great slate of board members and we are starting to form committees to increase membership and participation of member businesses.
