Backpack Program to Feed Hungry Wheat Ridge students
The police department, Wheat Ridge Optimists, and Wheat Ridge Rotary are joining forces to bring this popular area program to Pennington students before launching it in the other 3 schools. Food distribution is coordinated through the Arvada Food Bank and will be brought to the school on a weekly basis by volunteers from the community. We are asking businesses to help in one of two ways: donate money for the program or volunteer. Several E WR members have already donated money or offered to volunteer.
