Spring has arrived, taxes have been paid, positive news about the economy is … finally … being shared and folks are smiling! What more could we ask? Our April meeting was Excellent … A Great Speaker and Exciting Community Events and News were shared. Did you miss it? I’ll share just a few items of interest and then you Must join us in May … even More Exciting News coming your way.

Remember our February speaker, Matt Cheroutes? Well, he made a visit to Wheat Ridge. Community leaders, board members of our non-profits organizations and city officials gathered for lunch and conversation, followed by a tour of the city. He was impressed with how our organizations – WR2020, WRBD, E WR and JCBRC – worked in tandem with the City to Make Things Happen in Wheat Ridge. We’ll be following up with an article – Wheat Ridge, A Model of Excellence – that will highlight our successes.

We’re rocking at the WRBD board ~ we have 7 locations in Wheat Ridge that will have new facades … from 32nd and Wadsworth to 44th and Wadsworth and then over to the 44th and Harlan areas. Remember, all recipients of the grants join E WR. There are some Hot New Businesses opening their doors in the near future and I know they’ll be attending our meetings … many in May!

Chief Brennan’s Feed the Children program is receiving exceptional support from local businesses, community leaders and individuals. One of our largest retailers, Wal-Mart, stepped up by supporting the program in more ways than we expected. Thrilling details and introductions are coming at the May meeting.

One final item … I had shared with some of you about a product that links with your website, adds value and it’s Hot! Well, forgive me for dropping the ball however, I’ll put into action every skill I have to convince him to join us, guess when, in May!

Aim High, Think Positively and Enjoy Your Triumphs!
