I’ve been talking with several business owners about a Christmas Walk/Drive on 44th. City elections are right around the corner … take time to become informed! We have a couple of districts in which the race has become a bit heated … good for the citizens in those areas. Call, email or drop a line to the candidates. Learn their position on businesses and how they see themselves supporting us as we move forward with all the exciting new projects City Hall will be working towards during the next couple of years. Let’s be certain we’re all on the same page.

Missed seeing Pam Goff at our meetings and wondering “where is one of our most passionate members”? Well, she’s been laid up with a back injury. Take time to drop her a note or send an email of Cheers! We hope to see her pain free and back on her feet soon.

Second Wind Fund 5K Walk/Run Sept 18 Join 3,000 walkers, runners and music lovers at the Jeffco Fairgrounds for the largest suicide prevention event in nation. FREE lunch, massages, t-shirts, concerts all day plus kids’ activities. Run 5k or walk one or three miles. Prizes for pledgeraisers and largest teams. Workplace Wellness Meeting June 8

Please join the kick-off meeting for the Worksite Wellness Task Force meeting sponsored by Enterprise Wheat Ridge and LiveWell Colorado www.livewellcolorado.org . We will meet for a half hour following the June 8 Enterprise Wheat Ridge meeting at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center. During this meeting, Molly Hanson, LiveWell Wheat Ridge Coordinator, and Loretta DiTirrro will provide a brief overview of worksite wellness efforts that are happening in Colorado, recruit for a steering committee and identify three desired outcomes for our Task Force for year one. Leaves of Hope and National Cancer Survivors Day will take place on Sunday June 6. NCSD is a community celebration bringing together cancer survivors, families and caregivers. The Leaves of Hope 5K Run/Walk begins at 9am, on the Exempla Lutheran Medical Center campus, followed by NCSD. Strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome.
