November 18th Tidbits

Our Christmas lunch is right around the corner - Tuesday, December 9th, 11:30 to 1:00 - and we’re busy preparing a very special time for all! Want to let you know about just a few of the exciting moments we’ll share.

Who’s the E WR Volunteer of the Year? Is it Ryan Stachelski, Geoge Jorgensen, Cheryl Brungardt, Cheryl Garcia, Don Seyfer, Gretchen Cerveny, Denise Waddell or Pam Goff? Round up your family and friends to join your cheering section when the winner is announced. And … Business of the Year ~ will it be Seyfer Automotive, Wheat Ridge Cyclery, Educyber, Citywide Banks or Food for Thought Catering? We had a great response from members, so don’t be left in the dark. Come hear for yourself who the E WR winners will be for 2008!

Reggie Rivers will be the guest speaker and he comes with fabulous reviews! Learn about his wife’s boyfriend and his HOA dilemmas. Delightful, upbeat, humorous are just a few of the words folks have shared after hearing Reggie. Want a picture with him? Let Loretta know and we’ll try to work that into our pre-lunch schedule.

Door Prizes, music, laughter, holiday spirit, delicious food ~ what a grand way to celebrate our holiday together! Please, please, please make your reservation in today!. Loretta’s reserved 2 rooms so we can make room for all who will share in the joy of our day. Members and their guest(s) will pay only $17.00 per person. Non members $20 a person.

A message from E WR President Loretta D Schwankl

Greetings on a beautiful fall day:

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage each one of you to help support the yes on 2A, 2B, and 2C campaign.  You can begin by sending an e-mail to all of your friends, neighbors, and co workers encouraging them to vote yes on 2A, 2B and 2C. Next, if you have a visible location to hang a 4’ X 6’ banner at your business, call Britta Fischer at Wheat Ridge 2020 (720-259-1030) to volunteer a spot. The yes on 2A, 2B, and 2C campaign needs financial donations. I would encourage each one of you to donate, either through your business, or personally. Checks can be made payable to Yes on 2A, 2B, and 2C, and sent C/O Tom Ripp, 4315 Wadsworth Blvd, Wheat Ridge, 80033. Lastly make sure to Vote Yes on 2A, 2B, and 2C.

Thanks for your support,

Loretta DiTirro Schwankl, E WR President

and the Enterprise Wheat Ridge Board of Directors

Flu shot season is here, especially if you work for yourself, do you have time to be sick?
As you may be aware it is time to receive annual flu immunizations. A flu shot must be given yearly to protect you for the coming flu season which runs from November to spring. You can use your local Safeway, King Soopers or Walgreen’s pharmacy. All have flu shots available at various times and locations for around $20-$25. Another option is calling your county Health Department as they usually have flu shot clinics. Again it will cost between $20-$25.

Williv Center is having their only fundraising event of the year on Friday Dec. 5th. It’s a dance at the Buffalo Rose in Golden, 7 to 11 p.m. Founder Marla Swanson is also having a silent auction along with the dance. She has tickets for the dance, $40 a person or $70 per couple and she is also seeking items for the silent auction. To purchase tickets or for more information about donating to the silent auction, please contact Marla at 303-232-2143 or marla@williv.org, www.thewillivcenter.org.
